05-03-2006 Fuel Surcharge:
When we set our rates for this year back in December 05 diesel was around $2.40/gallon. Unfortunately, with diesel prices well above $3/ gallon and climbing, it looks like we will have to add a fuel surcharge to all of our open party trips and our charters. We would expect the whole Sportfishing Fleet out of San Diego will be adding a fuel surcharge. We have not determined how much the surcharge will need to be but when we do it will be posted on this page.

05-03-2006Albacore, Yellowtail, and Bonito Caught:
The Legend out of Seaforth Landing returned from a 1.5 day trip with 13 Albacore in the 10 – 15 pound range. The Indian out of H&M Landing returned from a 1.5 day run with limits of Yellowtail in the 5 – 15 pound range and the Producer, also out of H&M, returned from a 1 day trip with 10 Yellowtail and 89 Bonito.
The Producer is currently out on a 1.5 day run and will return Thursday morning. You can check out the fish count on H&M’s fish count page. The counts are updated by 7:00pm.
Last year the first Albacore was caught in the middle of May so this is very early for the bite to begin. Still, this could be an early start to the season again so you may want to check out our 2 day Ultra Limited Load departing on Wednesday, June 28. June 2005 we had several trips with limits of nice Albacore.
Due to last minute cancellations we reserve the right to overbook our open party trips by one angler.

04-17-2006Welcome to the Coral Sea and our New Reports Page
We have many new and exciting things going on with the Coral Sea for 2006. The first of which is a new Captain!
Randy Kramer began fishing as a teenager, scrubbing boats to pay his way. He kept on fishing and starting in 1988 he began to work as a deckhand on various boats. Upon graduation from High School he continued to work as a deckhand on
all day boats and after four years he earned his 100 Ton Master Captain's License. Working with Frank Ursitti on the Coral Sea, he expanded his knowledge and eventually began running the boat when Frank acquired the Ranger 85. After a leave of absence, he is happy to be back.
During his career, while always striving to put plenty of fish on the boat, Randy has made it his goal to control everything else that would make your trip great. "You have been planning and anticipating your trip for months and we’ve been looking forward to making it your best trip ever…..Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be?"
The Coral Sea has been extensively remodeled during the winter of 2006, so much so that she is like a new boat. New for 2006: deck, rails, 150 scoop bait tank, bunks, carpet, sonar, and a new rod holder system that will provide more deck space. Check out our Photos page to see some of this year's boat work. We have spared no expenses in making the Coral Sea one of the nicest boats in the fleet.
Those that have fished with us in the past will instantly recognize the transformation in the Coral Sea once you step aboard. Tons of deck space, huge bait capacity, and one of the best crews in Oxnard/San Diego are but a few of the things that will greet you when you fish aboard the Coral Sea. The cleanest, most well maintained boat in the fleet awaits you for your next offshore adventure. Let us show you what a great sportfishing trip is like aboard the Coral Sea.
Due to last minute cancellations we reserve the right to overbook our open party trips by one angler.

And of course this website is all new for 2006. We want to thank the people at TECK.net , and Chad Woods in particular, for all the effort they put into building this site. They know the sportfishing industry along with designing nice websites. They were great to work with and we highly recommend them for your website needs.
